Gonks. They’re everywhere this time of year, including at 213 Greenwich High Road. Gonks stem from Nordic and Scandinavian mythology and date from the 13th century. It is said that gonks like to sneak into houses and barns in the winter. If families treated them well, the gonks would protect the family and bring them good luck. If they didn’t welcome them, the gonks would play tricks on them. All gonks will be welcome on Greenwich High Road this Christmas season.
