Art done by St. Alfege Children’s Church

St. Alfege Church Hall, Roan Street, Greenwich, SE10 9JT
This year, our St Alfege Children’s Church Advent Window has been inspired by kaleidoscopes to reflect the theme of “Brighter Visions!”
The word “kaleidoscope” comes from the Ancient Greek word καλός (kalos) meaning “beautiful” or “beauty”, εἶδος (eidos), meaning “that which is seen: form and shape” and σκοπέω (skopeo) “to look to” or “to examine”.
Our children at St Alfege Children’s Church have been thinking about brighter visions for hope, love and a sustainable environment; and would like to share some of our “Brighter Visions” with both our local community here in Greenwich, our wider community and with all of our visitors from around the world!
We hope you are inspired by our “Brighter Visions!” and remember “You are the light of the world” [Matthew 5:14-16] and to “Walk in the light”. [Isaiah 2:5]
Wishing Everyone a very Happy Christmas and a very Happy New Year full of “Brighter visions”
The window is best viewed at night, but can be seen any time.
The window will be ready by 4 p.m.
