In addition to our own Advent Windows, Greenwich really comes alive with the Christmas spirit in December. Below is a listing of some of the events that will be occurring alongside our Advent Windows project. Be sure to visit!

THROUGHOUT DECEMBER

“Cinderella” at Greenwich Theatre

Christmas Shopping at Greenwich Market

Drop into the legendary Greenwich Market for one-of-a-kind gifts. Open every day through December.

Greenwich Winter Time Festival

New for 2017, a festival at the Old Royal Naval College featuring ice skating, a Christmas market, food stalls, music, and a visit with Father Christmas. Open from 1 December to 31 December.

Greenwich Market Lantern Parade & Christmas Lighting Ceremony

At Greenwich Market, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A beloved tradition featuring local schoolchildren with lanterns they have made themselves.

24 November

Royal Hill Christmas Market,  5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

James Wolfe Royal Hill Campus gives you a chance to get a jump on your Christmas shopping with a special Christmas market. Free glass of mulled wine or cider at Richard I pub after shopping.

3 December 2017

St. Alfege Church Advent Service, 6:30 p.m.

The first day of Advent is celebrated at St. Alfege Church with this special celebration at 6:30 p.m. The service will be followed by mulled wine and mince pies.

Pantomime Horse Race

Surely this is one of the more unusual ways to celebrate the Christmas season. Pantomime horses and creatures race from pub to pub in Greenwich.
