10 December: 28 King George Street

December 10, 2017

Strong Reason & Good Fancy

28 King George Street

Greenwich, SE10 8QD

Our window is a celebration of Nicholas Hawksmoor, the clerk turned visionary who rebuilt St. Alfege Church 300 years ago. A hard-working man, with fewer aristocratic patrons than his rivals, he sought for the eternal, believing that do do otherwise means, “we doe but dress things in Masquerade.”

This window will be on display all day, but will be lit at night.

The window will be ready by 7:30 p.m. on 10 December. Neighbours and all-comers are warmly invited to join us for mulled wine, and quite possibly, mince pies.
