Walk, walk in the light, walk in the light of the world. John 8v12 ‘whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life’. Mulled wine and nibbles.

13 December– 67 Maidenstone Hill, SE10 8SY opening at 7pm. “Radical Hospitality”

Radical: “drastically different from the ordinary routine outside the usual”. Come along to take part in hard hat lucky dip.

14 December – 15 Crane Street, SE10 9NP opening at 630pm. “Challenges of the year ahead”

Landmark gateways along the Thames at Greenwich.

15 December – Belle, 20 College Approach, SE10 9HY opening at 10am. “Walk down the Red Carpet”

16 December– Number 16, St Alfege Passage, SE10 9JS opening at 6pm. “A soldier brave ascended”

Come along to see how Number 16 have interpreted this years theme.

17 December – 17 Point Hill, SE10 8QW opening at 430pm. “Welcome!”

Traditional nativity scene. Tableau by the children of the church Sunday School based on the nativity but with a welcoming to all theme.  Refreshments and mulled wine

18 December – The Vicarage, 33 Park Vista, SE10 9LZ opening at 4pm. “Gates of Horn and Gates of Ivory”

Come along to see how this year’s theme has been interpreted.

Opening at The Green Parrot Gallery, 73 Lassell St, SE10 9PJ at 3pm

Throw wide the gates and let the creatures fly. May caged-up minds and stifled wings soar high above the sky…There will be all manner of winged creatures pouring out of a Victorian birdcage.

Come along for mulled wine and mince pies

If you’re going to ‘Fling wide the Gates’ who better to do that for at Christmas than Santa Claus? This window, whose design was created by a clever 8 year old will be a mixed media effort.

Opening at St Alfege with St Peter’s Primary School, Creek Road, SE10 9RB at 4pm

The school’s photography club lead by Sarah Coldham have taken photos of gates in Greenwich for their window. 

There will be mince pies and Christmas punch

Come along to see the joy of opening the gates with lots of woolly feet to represent all the people.

Can be viewed from 6pm.

Opening at James Wolfe Primary School, SE10 9LA at 330pm.

Different squares in the window will be made by different classes to represent the doors of a child’s advent calendar.

There will be a carol singing session next to the window when it opens for the first time.
