Advent Windows 2022

Thank you to everyone who took part in Advent Windows 2022, our 16th year! Whether you created one or admired one, we appreciate everyone’s contribution to this great Christmas tradition on the streets of Greenwich.
Every year St Alfege Church, in the heart of Greenwich, London, runs an “Advent Windows” event whereby the town centre is brought alive by 24 unique offerings in the lead up to Christmas.
Shops, homes, schools and pubs use their imagination and artistry to produce the living Advent Calendar. A newly decorated window will be revealed, or “opened”, on each day of Advent (1st to 24th December) in different parts of Greenwich. A variety of media will be used, including paper art, models, light installations and paintings.
Once all 24 Advent Windows have been opened, seeing all of them usually takes around 3 hours on foot. You can view a programme of the window locations, or read about the window openings after each event on our blog. A summary of the window openings for the current day can be found under “Today’s Window”. You can also find us on Twitter and Instagram, where you can admire either our wit, pictures of the windows and maybe even both.
You can see a map of all the 2022 locations below, at the 2022 Map tab above, or on our social media channels. You can get a printed copy at St. Alfege Church and the Greenwich Information Centre.
You can find out further information about us and our church by logging on to the St Alfege website, by emailing adventwindows@hotmail.com or by ringing 020 8853 0687.
We hope you enjoy this Greenwich Christmas tradition.
Happy Christmas!
